Reviews and Ratings
At first, I found it strange that the hotel wasn't too crowded, but it turned out to be a positive as it offered a more peaceful stay. The room was furnished with everything I needed, including toothbrushes and disinfecting wipes. However, the room seemed dated, with a musty smell and splattered dead mosquitos on the walls.
The hotel's location is not ideal, with subpar rooms and dining options. However, the friendly staff and various facilities make the stay somewhat enjoyable.
I stayed at the Nasugbu Suite, which offered a really nice pool view. The rooms were very clean and well stocked with amenities, including toothbrushes. The atmosphere was comfortable and completely furnished, making it a great stay.
My stay at the hotel was cozy enough for my family of 5, with a plated breakfast fit for a king. The rooms were a bit old and dated but spacious, although they had a lingering smell and unwelcome cockroaches. The service from all departments was great and very helpful. The location was good for enjoying the sunset, but the area seemed a bit run down. The dining experience was good, especially with the local delicacies like kapeng barako and maja mais, but could be improved with more variety. The facilities offered dry cleaning and laundry services, but the resort seemed a bit pricier compared to nearby beaches.
My stay at Matabungkay Beach Resort had its ups and downs. The location was ideal for watching the sunset and the friendly staff made me feel welcome. However, the musty room with dead mosquitos was a major downside, and the dining options were a bit overpriced. Despite these drawbacks, the friendly service and nostalgic ambiance added some charm to the experience.
